Understanding a line on your invoice
1 min readEach invoice shows the amount of your subscription before tax, the applicable value added tax (VAT), and the total amount charged including tax.
VAT is calculated and added automatically at the time of payment, based on the billing country you enter. It is currently 20% for users located in France and the European Union, in line with the rules for electronically supplied services.
If you are a business, you can enter your EU VAT number at the time of payment. It then appears on your invoice.
Each invoice also includes the mandatory legal notices: no discount for early payment, late payment penalties if payment is not made by the due date, and a fixed recovery fee for business customers. See the dedicated article "VAT and legal notices on invoices".
