Understanding the insurance coverage cap
1 min readThe legal protection included in your subscription (insurance that pays your legal costs) covers your defense and legal action costs if your intellectual property is infringed, up to a cap per dispute that depends on your plan: €5,000 for the Individual and Independent Pro plans, €10,000 for the Professional plan.
This cover applies after a three-month waiting period from the date of subscription. The creation in dispute must have been timestamped by Ipocamp, and your subscription must have stayed active without interruption since that timestamp. The cover does not include patents, technical know-how or trade secrets.
The Individual and Independent Pro plans cover literary and artistic property (mainly copyright on your creations). The Professional plan also covers trademarks and designs.
For the Custom plan, a specific contract can be considered when the volume justifies it.
The exact terms, caps and exclusions are set out in the insurance contract. This page is for information only and does not replace it.
