What the IP insurance does not cover

The legal protection included in your subscription covers your defense costs in a dispute over a creation timestamped by Ipocamp. Some situations are excluded: it is better to know them before you need to make a claim.

Rights not covered

Patents, technical know-how and trade secrets are not covered. Trademarks and designs are covered only under the Professional plan, not under the Individual or Independent Pro plans.

Creations not covered

A creation that was not timestamped by Ipocamp. A creation timestamped before your subscription. A creation for which the subscription has been interrupted since the timestamp, even briefly.

Periods not covered

Cover starts after a 3-month waiting period from the date of subscription.

Amounts that remain at your expense

Damages you may be ordered to pay. Fines. Official reports ordered on your own initiative, unless urgent. Costs above the cap, which is €5,000 per dispute under the Individual and Independent Pro plans, and €10,000 under the Professional plan.

Geographic limits

The insurance is reserved for customers whose home or registered office is in mainland France or in the French overseas departments and regions (DROM). Covered disputes are those under the jurisdiction of courts in the European Union, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Andorra, Liechtenstein, Monaco, San Marino, Norway and the Vatican.
