Verifying a certificate deposited by a third party

An Ipocamp certificate can be verified by anyone, using the certificate and the original file, with standard, open tools.

No account is required to run this verification, and it doesn't go through our servers: your proof therefore doesn't depend on Ipocamp surviving as a company over time.

In practice, verification consists of recomputing the fingerprint of the supplied file and comparing it to the one recorded in the registry at the date shown on the certificate.
