What file formats and sizes are accepted?

All file formats are accepted, up to 2 GB per deposit for an account-free deposit; a subscription removes this limit. Image, source code, audio, video, spreadsheet, text document, or a compressed archive to deposit a set of files at once.

Since it's the file's fingerprint that's certified — never its content — the nature of the file makes no difference to the service. A 2 GB video and a sketch of a few kilobytes each produce a 32-byte fingerprint, processed in exactly the same way.

For a set of related files (the various pieces of a case file, for example), the simplest approach is to group them into an archive before depositing.
