Today, asserting your rights over your work means documenting every step, because creations spread and get copied quickly. The burden of proof falls on the person who creates. Rights are the same for everyone, but the means to defend them are not.
Ipocamp makes this accessible: your file's fingerprint (a unique code computed from its content) is computed at deposit, then timestamped and recorded in a public registry that no one can rewrite. The date and time are set by the network that maintains this registry, independently of Ipocamp. Your work is then transferred, encrypted, to our storage. The transfer is automatic for the free deposit, so you can retrieve your work if you open an account. Subscribers who want to organize their files better can request this transfer.
The resulting certificate can be verified publicly, anywhere and with no time limit, using standard tools.
Accessible
Everything happens in a browser: drag and drop your file and receive a certificate. Copyright arises when the work is created: all you need to do is prove the date, in a few steps.
Affordable
Your first 5 deposits are free, then a subscription starts at €16 incl. VAT per month. The certificate stays verifiable for life.
Solid
A SHA-256 cryptographic fingerprint, a secure timestamp and an unalterable registry make up proof that is admissible in civil matters (disputes between individuals or between companies) under Article 1358 of the French Civil Code.

The service timestamps the file's fingerprint and processes every format in the same way. Up to 2 GB per deposit without an account, unlimited with a subscription. To timestamp a whole set at once, deposit a compressed archive.
